Product Design Training and Certification – Mastering UI/UX
This course equips you with the skills to become a well-rounded product designer, with a focus on both UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design. You’ll build a solid foundation in design principles, master industry-standard tools, and gain experience applying them to real-world projects to create a standout portfolio.
Course Objectives:
- Master UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Become proficient in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure RP, Zeplin) (choice based on focus area).
- Develop advanced skills in wireframing, prototyping, and user research.
- Apply user-centered design methodologies to solve real problems.
- Build a professional design portfolio showcasing your UI/UX expertise.
Course Structure:
The course is divided into modules, each with hands-on projects and case studies to solidify your learning.
Modules 1 & 2: Introduction to UI/UX Design & Design Fundamentals
Project 1: Differentiate Design: Analyze existing products and identify how UI and UX elements work together.
- Project 2: Design Foundations Challenge: Apply color theory, typography, and layout principles to create a landing page.

Modules 3 & 4: Figma Foundations & Advanced Figma Techniques
- Project 3: Figma Interface Mastery: Design a mobile app mockup using Figma’s basic tools.
- Project 4: Design System in Figma: Develop a mini design system for a chosen brand using Figma’s libraries.

Choose one of the following tracks (Modules 5 & 6):
Track A: Prototyping with InVision
- Project 5: InVision Prototype Challenge: Create a clickable prototype of your mobile app mockup from Project 3, using InVision.

Track B: User Research and Testing
- Project 6: User Research for a Cause: Conduct user research (surveys, interviews) for a non-profit organization and identify design opportunities.

Choose one of the following tool specializations (Modules 7 & 8): (2 weeks each)
Module 7: Advanced Adobe XD
- Project 7: Interactive Prototype in Adobe XD: Design an interactive prototype with micro-interactions and animations for a chosen app concept.

- Responsive Layouts and Grid Systems
- Advanced Prototyping Techniques in Adobe XD
- Designing for Accessibility
- Integrating Plugins with Adobe XD
Module 8: Advanced Axure RP
- Project 8: Dynamic Prototype with Axure: Develop a data-driven prototype with dynamic content and conditional logic, simulating a real-world application.

- Dynamic Panels and Conditional Logic
- Integrating Data and Variables

Module 9: Design Collaboration and Handoff
- Project 9: Design Handoff with Zeplin: Create a style guide and handoff design assets for a chosen project using Zeplin.

- Collaborative Design Systems in Zeplin
- Integrating Zeplin with Other Tools
Module 10: Comprehensive Design Project
- Project 10: Capstone Project: Apply the skills learned throughout the course to design a full UI/UX experience for a chosen product or service. This will involve user research, wireframing, prototyping, design iterations, and a final design handoff with style guide documentation.
Software Options:
The course offers training in a variety of industry-standard design tools. While some modules are dedicated to specific software (Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Axure RP, Zeplin), trainees can choose to focus on the tools most relevant to their career goals.
